Let’s Read the Bible TOGETHER

If you've joined us in the past, this year will look a little different...

Our pastors are encouraging you to join with others, pick a plan, and read the Bible TOGETHER in 2026.

We have recommended resources!

• Do The One Year Bible (available in PRINT or ONLINE)

DOCTRINE NOTICE!

We do NOT recommend all plans available on YouVersion as they are not all created equal. Often, Christian resources can be one of the more dangerous places theologically. We want to emphasize choosing plans with just scripture reading as the best option.



Whatever you choose, we encourage these guidelines...

• Prioritize reading SCRIPTURE over "devotional material" (we prefer plans without commentary or where commentary is optional, comes from a trusted source, and comes after the Bible reading)
• Read with other people (friends, family, small group members... the Bible is best read when it is read in Christian community)
• Meet to talk or leave comments (don't just read, engage by meeting to talk about what you're reading or finding a way to send comments and thoughts about the plan to each other)
• Make it a priority (check out this article on how reading scripture 4 or more days a week changes your life)

Tips for establishing a habit of reading God’s Word…

• A Plan: know what you are reading today before you sit down.
• A Time: decide in advance when you will read each day.
• A Place: predetermine a place where you can be alone with God.

 

FOR CLARITY:
There will NOT be a centralized church-wide Bible reading plan this year. Our goal is to encourage disciple-makers, small groups, and followers of Jesus to be intentional to seek the Lord this year and read together!
